hris is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation and construction law. Chris serves on the board of the Virginia Bar Association’s Construction and Public Contracts Section and represents owners and contractors in both commercial and residential construction disputes. In addition to construction matters, he has handled numerous commercial cases in federal court, state court, and arbitration in the areas of labor and employment, real estate, and securities and shareholder rights, among many others. Chris also provides transactional services for businesses and contractors, including contract drafting and negotiation, and business formation and structuring.
Prior to joining the firm, Chris clerked for the Honorable J. Paul Oetken, of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and practiced at a large international firm in New York, where he represented companies and boards of directors in insurance disputes, securities litigations, white collar investigations, false advertising cases, and other commercial matters. He has also represented several pro bono clients in immigration proceedings. Chris received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
Chris lives in Charlottesville with his wife and two young children, and in his spare time enjoys hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains, golf, cooking, and spending time with his family.
